I would highly recommend Island Getaway, even though the weather was colder and rainier than we had hoped. When my daughter's flight was rescheduled to arrive later in the day, Chris let me check in early so I would have a few hours before I had to go out in traffic to pick her up. We stayed in Sea Gem, a one bedroom, one bath unit that was very nice. Chris even came over to help me locate where the heck a beeping noise was coming from. We decided to unplug the microwave (just in case) and then she discovered that the dishwasher had been left on with the door open. She saved my sanity and was so nice about everything.

I wanted to get this out before our visit fades to a distant memory. Steph and I recently stayed at Unit 5 - Island Hideaway at the Island Getaway in Anna Marie Island. We arrived on a Friday afternoon and spent until Tuesday over Labor Day Weekend. Steph had stayed at the Island Getaway in another unit with girlfriends but this was my first visit to Anna Marie and the Island Getaway. I could not have been more pleased with the whole experience. We dealt primarily with Chris scheduling our trip and she was always polite and accommodating. We were not sure the trip would happen with the recent hurricane just moving through the area and Chris was able to confirm that they had come through in good shape and there was no damage to the property and that indeed turned out to be the case. The weather was perfect the entire time we were there. Shops and restaurants were open for business and the beaches were busy. The Island Getaway was a treat. Our room exceeded all expectations, the courtyard is an awesome, private retreat from the goings on in the area. We would have our morning coffee there before walking down to the end of the road to the dock overlooking the bay or just across the street to the beautiful beach. Bridge Street was a short walk down the street to local restaurant's and shopping. We were provided with beach chairs, cart, umbrella, and boogie boards as part of staying at the Island Getaway. Our unit was clean, updated, well stocked with all the accessories we would need should be want to prepare meals at the unit. We had multiple televisions, movies, books and puzzles. The courtyard also had ample Weber gas grills to be used by anyone staying at the complex. There were washers and dryers available to us at no charge which we took advantage of prior to coming home. The complex does not have a pool but we were more than willing to trade that amenity for the private courtyard and mere steps away from the beach. We are definitely planning on visiting Anna Maria Island again and when we do it will be with Chris and Island Getaway. Thank you for an awesome experience Chris and we will see you next year.

This was my second time at Island Getaway and I love it! We stayed in #4 this time The Seaclusion it was awesome!!! We all had comfy beds and plenty of room, it was super clean and we loved the screened in porch!!!! Love that they have beach chairs and umbrellas and that outdoor shower was awesome after a long day at the beach. Location is amazing and everything you need is supplied for your! Love this place!

Island Getaway is so dear to my heart! We’ve been every year for about 5 years. Never go anywhere else. The location is perfect to the beach and shops and restaurants close enough to walk. They have thought of everything including stocked pots and pans for cooking, bbq grills, beach towels, umbrellas, beach chairs, etc… This is the best place to stay on the island!

This place is absolutely gorgeous. The units were clean and sanitized. There is plenty of towels, umbrellas, beach chairs, etc. The courtyard is peaceful and beautifully decorated. We had an awesome time and will definitely be back next year with the whole family. I would like to say a special thank you to Chris as there was a small issue with the air conditioning and she was very attentive and was on it as soon as I messaged her. She was there first thing in the morning (I messaged her at 10 pm) with a repairman to fix the a/c. The beach is beautiful and only one minute walk. The intercoastal water is also a one minute walk. You can walk to down town in about 7 minutes or ride the free island trolley (I also recommend to see the whole island). All this information is there at your fingertips at check in. Kitchen is stocked with all the necessities for cooking. The gas grills outside are kept up nicely and clean. I cannot say enough about this place. You must go see for yourself. 100 percent worth it!!!!!! Thank you for the great vacation!!!!!

Our stay at Island Getaway was AMAZING! We stayed in #4 Seaclusion and it was perfect for our family of 5. the outdoor shower is located on the back corner of this unit, so it was really nice and easy to rinse off after beaching it. The unit was well cleaned and stocked, we really appreciated the beach towels and ALL of the beach supplies! The courtyard was beautiful! we loved sitting out there in the evenings under the lights. Chris was superb with her hospitality! She helped me several times when I reached out prior to the trip with a couple different concerns and had a brand new pack n play and high chair ready for me to use upon request. This place made our beach experience INCREDIBLE! Literally so close to the beach, which was so nice to not have to fight traffic or parking and be able to come back to eat lunch at our house instead of packing it all. I highly recommend Island Getaway and would 100% stay here again!!
